YOUR SHORTCUT TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM STARTS HERE
What every GirlBoss must know!
A 12-step game plan from a savvy blogger on how to build a low-cost, automated online business in your line of passion—so you can earn a living to pay your bills (and more), working from anywhere—like your bed (yes, really)—for just a couple of hours a day.
Reality is: Life doesn’t come with a manual, but “how-to” courses are the next best thing. Whether you’re trying to boss up your career, fix your leaky tap at home, or finally understand what to eat and do to stay healthy and fit, there's a course out there that’ll make you feel like you’ve got your life together.
Start with the essentials: how to make an argument (because stating your case without getting emotional is a superpower), how to negotiate a win-win deal (because you want to get what you want), how to use the latest computer tech (because knowing your way around digital tools is non-negotiable), and how to fix things (because girls can do it all). These skills quietly boost your confidence and loudly improve your results. They aren’t just “nice to know” skills; they help you feel capable, independent, and ready to handle whatever life throws your way. They are important in learning how to hustle your way outta the struggle.
Bottom line? How-to courses are like cheat codes for adulting—and the more you learn, the more you’ve got this.
What every GirlBoss must study!
If you’ve ever wished for a pocket-sized mentor, Kindle books are basically that—minus the awkward small talk. And the best part? You can read it in your PJs, on the train, or while listening in on a Zoom meeting.
Health books help you level up your health, feel better, live longer, and stop Googling symptoms at 2am. Education titles? They’re like brain fuel—perfect for sharpening skills or just satisfying your curiosity. Career reads give you insider tips, pep talks, and strategies to climb, pivot, or peace out. Finance books? They’re your guide to decoding finances, making money make sense. Law books help you understand your rights, your responsibilities, and how to not get played. Government books help you to finally understand what the government actually does (besides sending you tax forms). Arts, culture, and media reads keep you inspired and in the loop—whether you're creating or just appreciating. Tech books help you keep up with the robots (or become one, who knows). Family and spirituality titles? They’re your emotional toolkit, helping you reconnect, reflect, reset and grow.
Basically, Kindle books are like having a whole squad of experts, cheerleaders, and wise old souls in your back pocket. So if you’re into growing, glowing, and knowing—start clicking on the links.
What every GirlBoss must read!
What do I actually want to keep thinking about for the rest of my life? ©
At Girlboss, we try not to spiral into self-doubt or get stuck replaying old hurts. Instead, we ask ourselves, What do I actually want to keep thinking about for the rest of my life? © This question helps us snap back to the present—and start building the life we deserve. Knowing what you'd love thinking about, points you to your life's purpose.
Now, that doesn’t mean we ignore tough stuff. Sometimes, sitting with a situation and letting yourself think it through is exactly what you need to figure out what’s really going on. To solve a problem, we first need to know what's the problem. So don’t be hard on yourself. Let the thoughts come. You don’t have to shove them away.
It’s always good to know your go-to happy place and go-to happy thing to do. When you’re feeling great, take a sec to notice where you are and what you’re doing. Is it in a paddock with cattle? And designing stuff on your laptop? When you can, snap a few pics while you’re in that vibe. Then, when life feels a bit meh or you’re stuck in your head, pull them out. Let them remind you: you’ve felt peace before, and you’ll feel it again. You’ve got this.
When your thoughts start spiralling again, try flipping the script. Instead of stressing, ask yourself: What would it take for me to figure this out? © Then hand this question over to the Universe (or God—whatever is right for you), especially before bed. You’d be surprised how often clarity shows up in the morning. If something clicks, trust it—and act on it. Don’t overthink, just go with it. The more you act on those nighttime clues, the easier it gets to trust what your soul already knows is right for you. Your 'right' might be someone else's 'nope.' And it's okay!
And when things feel like they’re falling apart, try asking yourself: How is this “failure” beneficial to me? © That shift in perspective can show you how you’re actually moving forward—even if it doesn’t look like it yet.
Sometimes you've gotta nudge yourself into a gratitude mindset. Try asking yourself: Okay, what's actually going right for me right now? © Jot down anything that makes you feel thankful—big or small—and keep that list somewhere easy to reach. On the rough day, it'll be your little reminder that not everything sucks.
At GirlBoss, we also practise dropping the judgment. Instead of clinging to one belief or outcome, we ask ourselves: Where might the opposite also be true? © It helps us uninstall conditioned thought. It’s a way to stay open-minded, stay balanced, and trust that the journey is unfolding exactly as it should. Because it does!
